Kinja'd!!!

I’m right on most of these things, so you know.

1- The Bentayga looks great and I want one.

Kinja'd!!!

2-There is nothing wrong with the Convertible Evoque.

Kinja'd!!!

3- The large powerful Infiniti thing is not that ugly.

Kinja'd!!!

4- The MINI Cooper Wagon thing is fucking awesome and I will buy one in the future if the price is right.

Kinja'd!!!

5-All of you thinking there is something awfully wrong with your VAG cars are insane, there is no need to sell, incinerate or terminate them.

Kinja'd!!!

6- The new Audi TT and R8 look daft and I’ll tell you why. They did not change the overall roundish shape of the earlier models and then grafted a low hanging squarish idiot face to it.

Kinja'd!!!

7- Tavarish is fucking right, every single car is more interesting than a middle sized beige something and you should buy them. Maintenance costs- Schmaintenance costs

Kinja'd!!!

8- Every single large truck is awful and could be replaced with more economical, prettier, less dangerous, less polluting and less obnoxious things.

Kinja'd!!!

9- The Malibu needs to see a dentist IMMEDIATELY

Kinja'd!!!

I have never agreed so much. Except for the Infiniti, which I hate, and the Audis, which I like. The TT moreso than the R8, however.

1. Disagree

2. Sure

3. I’d describe it as bulbous. Few in the segment that I’d buy it over.

4. Eh.

5. The cars? No. The people? Yes

6. Disagree

7. I dont think anyone disagrees with the fact that they are more interesting. People just say it would be dumb to actually buy one

8. Like a VAG TDI product?

9. AGREE! Jesus that thing needs help.

#8 is SO FUCKING TRUE. I live in the southern US (but not deep south), and these things are SO FUCKING COMMON. And every single one of the drivers is an ARROGANT FUCKING PRICK who is driving WAY TOO FUCKING FAST over the speed limit.

Rant over.

Ah yup, those are certainly unpopular. But you’re entitled to them nonetheless. :) You’re not wrong about the ‘bu though. And big trucks are the best thing ever for serious towing, but not much else.

I think there are quite a few folks in the construction industry who would disagree heartily on #8.

Why can every other country in the world make due with vans, normal sized pick-ups and commercial trucks but the US need those giant awful 78.0 liter diesel V8 chrome monstrosities?

Pretty it certainly isn’t, but it isn’t nearly as bad as everyone says it is

For the front half the existing Bentley front end doesnt really fit the rest of the design for the car. For the back it looks like an Audi wagon that took steroids and just ended up lumpy/

Kinja'd!!! Jcarr > My citroen won't start
11/17/2015 at 20:14

How are they any worse than vans or commercial trucks? BTW, the truck in your example pic is an I-6 ;)

Size, purpose, pollution, obnoxiousness. chromeness and the fact that the I6 you mentioned is a 6,7 product of exaggeration.

Kinja'd!!! TheJWT > My citroen won't start
11/17/2015 at 20:21

Not particularly. It’s probably the best of the cars they sell but it’s too big and plasticky

Yeah we are, although I think the new Malibu should not see a dentist, but rather die and never be seen again.

Kinja'd!!! Jcarr > My citroen won't start
11/17/2015 at 20:41

Kinja'd!!!0

Ok. 3/4 and 1-ton trucks seem pretty adept at their role here in the states and have been meeting pretty strict particulate emission standards for a number of years. Seems like your problem is more with bros than anything else.

Kinja'd!!! My citroen won't start > Jcarr
11/17/2015 at 20:49

Kinja'd!!!0

They are just not necessary, and I mean necessary in the utmost sense of the word. Sure I don’t need a Range Rover, or any SUV. But the world does not need brash, giant, chrome duallies.

I agree with some, you’ll never convince me that the Infiniti is good looking, and I can say this from experience, the MINI Countryman is the single biggest piece of shit my family has owned. Trust me, they're bad, my car's clutch disintegrated at 40k miles because it wasn't built properly, it's had numerous problems from top to bottom, some of the buttons have stopped working. We've owned GM products that were more reliable than this, and not from good years or good product lines as well.

I figure as long as they stay within the middle part of the United States they can do whatever the hell they want...come here to the Bay Area though, and you’d probably be egged and receive many nasty letters under your windscreen wipers...

Kinja'd!!! My citroen won't start > El Rivinado
11/17/2015 at 21:07

Kinja'd!!!0

I never said the Infiniti was good looking, I said not so ugly. And I understand the Mini thing, my family owned Citroens their entire life and all sorts of things went wrong, but for me they are good cars. I’m sure the MINI will be unreliable, but it will still be good.

Kinja'd!!! Jcarr > My citroen won't start
11/17/2015 at 21:08

Kinja'd!!!0

If you replaced heavy duty pickups with something else in the U.S. I'm quite certain that graph would look much the same.

Kinja'd!!! My citroen won't start > Jcarr
11/17/2015 at 21:10

Kinja'd!!!0

I doubt it, Transit Vans don’t drink nearly as much fuel, people who really don’t need a dually would use something different, and the few who really need the torque would buy something built for the job. Plus less gaudy chrome in the world, which is a plus in my book.

Kinja'd!!! El Rivinado > My citroen won't start
11/17/2015 at 21:18

Kinja'd!!!0

It’s just not though, reliability faults aside, there’s no advantage I can see to this car compared to other hatchbacks in the segment. It’s too big to really be enjoyable, the ride is jarring and harsh to the point of unusable, it’s not that quick, the seats are the most uncomfortable I’ve sat in thus far, the only good thing is it can fit a lot of stuff in it but that’s not enough for me to forgive all its other faults. I’ve lived with that car for five years, trust me Citroen, I don’t wish to argue, but I will because I know what I’m talking about.

As for the Infiniti, I may not like its looks, but at least I can say "Things could be worse."

Kinja'd!!! Jcarr > My citroen won't start

Kinja'd!!!0

3/4 and 1-ton trucks made up less than 4% of total new car sales in the U.S. in 2013. Our consumption is more a function of a large geographic area with numerous interstate highways coupled with cheap gas prices than anything else.

I understand, I’ve had little seat time in them, all they were all Mini Coopers S or S Clubman, you are probably correct. But I still like how the wagon Mini looks.
